Law Firm Digital Marketing Case Study: How Ghothane Lawyers Grew overall digital growth ?
- Published:October 2, 2026
Table of Contents
This law firm digital marketing case study shows how The Purple Bytes supported Ghothane Lawyers, a Melbourne law firm serving the Nepali and wider South Asian community across migration, family and business law, from July 1 to September 27, 2026. Over the quarter, active users on ghothane.com.au grew 48% to 8.8K, 56 creatives were published on Facebook and Instagram, and we built a custom five-step consultation booking flow.
The quarter was not a straight line up. Search impressions fell, average time on site dropped, and conversion tracking is not set up yet. We include those numbers because an honest law firm digital marketing case study is more useful than a polished one.

The Challenge Behind This Law Firm Digital Marketing Case Study
Choosing a lawyer is a high-trust decision. People compare firms online, look for directions and want to book without friction. For a firm serving the Nepali and wider South Asian community, that means being easy to find, easy to understand and easy to book.
The brief covered five areas:
- A redesigned website homepage and a guided consultation booking flow.
- Security and SEO tooling for ghothane.com.au.
- Reporting across Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile.
- A content pipeline of website pages, blogs and news articles.
- Facebook and Instagram creatives, including reels, carousels and visa grant announcements.
Our Law Firm Digital Marketing Approach
Our approach combined website work, search, local visibility and social content, so each channel supported the others.
A redesigned wireframe homepage
We built a wireframe homepage as the visual and structural blueprint for the final site. It lets the firm review layout, content hierarchy and branding before design is applied to the live site. Updates covered:
- Buttons: restyled with a soft box shadow so calls to action stand out across the page.
- Spacing: padding and margins adjusted between sections, headings, text blocks and buttons.
- Images: added and replaced so the page looks relevant to the firm and its audience.
- Real details: placeholder content replaced with the firm’s actual information.
The wireframe is a review build and is not live yet. The search and traffic figures below come from the current ghothane.com.au, not from the redesign.
A five-step consultation booking flow
The Book Consultation page guides visitors through a short flow instead of one long form, so each visitor lands on the correct appointment type.
| Step | Selection | Options |
| 1 | Location | Sydney or Melbourne |
| 2 | Meeting type | Microsoft Teams call or in person |
| 3 | Service | Migration, Family or Business |
| 4 | Sub-service or summary | Migration lists visa and migration services; Family and Business show a summary of topics covered |
| 5 | Booking | An inline Calendly scheduler opens for the selected appointment type |
Each combination of choices links to its own Calendly event, and the selected location and meeting type are passed along with the booking.
How the booking flow evolved
We built the flow in two phases:
- Phase one, nested tabs: built with Elementor’s nested tab element, then refined for alignment across desktop and mobile, a uniform interface, service descriptions and disclaimers that set expectations about consultations.
- Phase two, custom code: rebuilt as a self-contained HTML, CSS and JavaScript block for full control of layout, step transitions and animation, conditional logic so visitors see only the options that apply, direct Calendly integration, and a responsive design in the firm’s navy and blue palette.
After the rebuild we added layout fixes, mobile optimisation and animation polish, and expanded the migration section to ten sub-services.
Security and SEO foundations
We set up two-factor authentication with the Wordfence Security plugin, so a guessed or leaked password alone cannot unlock the administrator accounts that control the site. We also added the Rank Math SEO Business plan, which gives control over how each page appears in search results. Our SEO services team handles this setup.
A content pipeline
We tracked 54 pieces of website content through approval and publishing:
| Content type | Total | Published and indexed | Under approval | Draft-ready |
| Website pages | 36 | 2 | 16 | 18 |
| Blogs | 14 | 2 | 4 | 8 |
| News articles | 4 | 3 | 1 | 0 |
| Total | 54 | 7 | 21 | 26 |
In total, 47 of the 54 pieces are awaiting approval or ready to publish. The main blocker is approval turnaround, not production capacity.
Search and Website Results
This law firm digital marketing case study measures search performance with Google Search Console and website behaviour with Google Analytics, for July 1 to September 27, 2026 against the previous period.

Screenshot — Google Search Console: Performance
QUICK SUMMARY: Clicks edged up and the average position moved closer to the first page, from 10.9 to 10.5. Impressions fell by about 17%, which is the number to watch. Click-through rate improved to about 0.9%, so more of the people who saw the site chose to click.
Google Analytics
| Metric | Current period | Change |
| Active users | 8.8K | +48.0% |
| New users | 8.8K | +50.3% |

For metric definitions, see Google Search Console Help and Google Analytics Help.
Google Business Profile Results
Local visibility is the third pillar of this law firm digital marketing case study.

Success can be measured with website traffic, organic search clicks and impressions, Google Business Profile actions, social media reach and engagement, followers, consultation bookings and leads. The right metrics depend on the firm’s goals.
What are the most important digital marketing metrics to track?
Common metrics include organic traffic, search impressions, clicks, average position, click-through rate, social media reach, engagement, website visits, leads and conversions.

Social media helps law firms build awareness, share useful information, show expertise, promote events and stay visible to their community. Consistent, helpful posts build trust before someone makes an enquiry.
